History of the First Pentecostal United Holy Church
The First Pentecostal United Holy Church of America sustained a rich and enduring legacy that has endeared it to the hearts of its members, officers, and pastors, both past and present. Reverend Rebecca James Mackey was the visionary for a church on the corner of Wilson Road and Cypress Street. Nothing stood on this property, but by faith, one woman of God saw what could be there! In spite of great obstacles, she was sure she was in God’s will. In 1945, with a small band of saints, she established First Pentecostal United Holy Church.
Since the inception of First Pentecostal United Holy Church, there has been a display of God’s love and grace. It continues to be a bright beacon of light and hope to mankind, pointing men and women to the Lord Jesus Christ on whom the Church was founded and organized. Reverend Mackey was true to her vision.
In June, 2010, Elder Donzell Jones Sr. became the Pastor of First Pentecostal United Holy Church. He was accompanied by his wife, La’Kisha, two sons, Donzell, Jr., Emmanuel, and one daughter, Destiny. Pastor Jones enjoys studying, teaching, and preaching the word of God.
The church has been blessed by the mighty hands of God.

Lead: We believe in the Father who is God Almighty
Aud: The Creator of all things and the preserver of Light and Life
Lead: We believe in the Son, who is Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son.
Aud: He was human and divine, truly lived, suffered and died, rose from the dead, ascended on high and is coming again.
Lead: We believe that Jesus was sent by God to reveal God to man.
Aud: That whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Lead: We believe in the Holy Ghost who was sent from God the Father and the Son.
Aud: That the Holy Spirit convicts and converts sinners, dwells in the believer, keeps the believer from the power of sin and leads him to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Lead: We believe the Bible is the Word of God given by inspiration through holy men.
Aud: That in the Bible, God seeks to reveal His will to man and man seeks to respond to God’s revelation.
Lead: We believe that the union of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is revealed through his church.
Aud: That all believers are united into one body: the church.
Lead: We believe that Christ is coming back for His holy church without spot or wrinkle.
All: That without holiness in spirit, soul and body, no man shall see the Lord.
